On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome Seán and Jim from the Wicklow Lions Club. They were joined by Antoinette from SVP, along with two young volunteers from DCW.
Ms. Fenton’s and Ms. Dunne’s Third Class pupils have been extremely busy over the past number of weeks collecting food and essential grocery items for families in need this Christmas. We were blown away by the volume of donations received from the two classes and would like to thank everyone for their generosity.
Our visitors spent time with the children in both school buildings, explaining the huge difference these donations will make for families at this time of year, as well as highlighting the fantastic work carried out by the many volunteers who support the Lions Club and SVP. The children asked great questions and learned a great deal before the van was loaded up and the items prepared for distribution in the coming days.
