A huge thank you and congratulations to all the boys and girls in our MAD Society for giving us an unforgettable week in school with their wonderful production of Rapunzel and the Barbershop Brothers.
This was yet another fantastic production, involving pupils from across the school in acting, singing, choreography and backstage roles. The group has worked tirelessly over the past number of months in rehearsals, and they really blew us away over the two night performances and matinees. One thing is certain, we have a school full of stars in the making! It was amazing to see our children shine so brightly in front of a packed hall. These are memories they will cherish forever, and they have gained skills and confidence that will stand to them for years to come.
We are so fortunate to have a staff team that makes wonderful events like this possible. So many staff members invested huge amounts of time, energy and dedication into bringing the production to life. A special mention to Ms. O’Hanlon for her energy and enthusiasm in leading the production, and also to Ms. Byrne, Ms. Jameson and Ms. Maguire, who shared their talents, creativity and love of the performing arts to help make the show such a success. It was a fantastic team effort.
A huge thank you also to our incredible props and costumes team - Ms. Harris, Ms. Dunne, Ms. Russell, Ms. Douglas, Ms. Kelly and Ms. Fenton, for their amazing work sourcing, creating and preparing the props and costumes. A special thank you to Ms. Harris’ dad, Stephen, for making the wonderful boat and tower too!
We are grateful to all staff members who helped throughout the process and showed such flexibility and support during rehearsals and performances. We would also like to sincerely thank our Parents’ Association for their support of the event - it is very much appreciated.
To see 103 children involved in the performances was incredible, but to watch them perform at such a high standard in such a polished and professional production was really outstanding.
Congratulations and well done to everyone involved on an amazing and unforgettable show!
