Today marked the first meeting of our new Student Council for the 2025–26 school year. Our full group of 27 pupils, representing every class from 1st to 6th, gathered in the library for this first session.
At the meeting, pupils were presented with their Student Council badge, pen, and notebook. We spent time getting to know one another and sharing some early ideas. Our discussion focused on healthy eating in the school, with lots of suggestions put forward. We also spoke about the kind of school we want for everyone (our vision) and began looking at ideas for a Student Council motto that shows the importance of pupil voice in our school.
In preparation for our next meeting, council members will discuss healthy eating in their classes, brainstorm possible mottos for the council, and gather ideas from their classmates, including a “wishlist” for the year ahead.
